How will students be assessed?
- Both formative and summative tests will be administered during instruction times at appropriate steps within units.
- Some assessments will be completed digitally, and others may have computation or other work which will need to be submitted. In this case, a step -by-step instruction on how to submit work will be addressed.
How will students receive feedback and grades?
- Students will receive immediate feedback from some assignments/assessments automatically depending on the assignment. Feedback may also be provided in the form of comments in Google Classroom, email, and virtually during class meetings. Assignments completed in Savvas/ ConnectEd/Other may have instantaneous feedback.
- Grades will still follow the standards based grading scale of 1-4. Grades will be posted on Google Classroom. Please make sure you sign up for weekly updates of your child's progress on their Google Classroom.
When/How will live instruction be provided?
- Live instruction will begin at 8:40 a.m. Monday through Friday. If a student is absent from the direct instruction lesson, it is the responsibility of the student to make up the work. He/she must email me and coordinate a meeting to make-up the lesson. I will also be meeting with students in small groups throughout the week to provide additional support. (Those students that need to attend small group sessions, will be notified in advance.)
- Students will participate in live instruction through the Google Meet platform. Students will log on to the sessions using the link provided in their Google Classroom. Students must be visible to the teacher and ready to learn, at all times.
- CVUSD requires that students are to attend live instruction via Google Meet to receive attendance credit for that day. If your child does not attned the live instruction, they will be marked absent for that day.
